Southeastern Michigan Society for Healthcare Engineering (SMSHE)

Southeastern Michigan Society for Healthcare Engineering (SMSHE) is a premier healthcare facilities owner organization, dedicated to supporting healthcare facilities with top trends in facility maintenance, energy usage, code compliance, and more.

Our Challenge

SMSHE approached TM for a website rebuild to enhance its then-current website. The organization needed a website to easily update their content, maintain up-to-date information regarding events, committee members, news, and resources. The new build also needed to present a well-designed and user-friendly website to their current and prospective members.

  • Rebuild the website
  • Develop cohesive design and web experience
  • Present necessary information for potential and current members
  • Refreshed SMSHE's website design
  • Installed plugins to showcase organization's top leaders and events
  • Created a better overall experience for their user base

Our Solution

TM updated SMSHE’s website to reflect a more modern, user-friendly website to recruit potential members and businesses, while still enticing their current members to find the exact information needed.

We installed two plugins, including our TM Team Manager plugin, to enhance the website’s functionality. This TM-crafted plugin offers a responsive, interactive team grid to showcase each employees’ headshot and biography for users to learn more about each member. Additionally, we installed Events Calendar Pro to showcase SMSHE’s calendar of events and included custom styling for individual events listed.

After launching, SMSHE is now one of our monthly maintenance clients, where TM keeps a close eye on their website, conduct performance tests, and enhance any elements to help them to continue to reach their goals.

Inclusive Team Members Page

TM installed our Team Members plugin to highlight each SMSHE committee team member. Letting each member shine, our design and marketing teams collaborated to take headshots of each SMSHE committee member. We wanted to ensure each headshot is uniform in background and shared similar lighting and zoom.

Simplifying Processes

SMSHE’s previous site didn’t provide the best user-friendly experience. Members would download a PDF file to fill out, then submit the form via email. TM revolutionized their form-sending and receiving processes by creating a web form to capture necessary information and submit it to the appropriate committee members.

Content Refresh

TM‘s marketing team worked closely with SMSHE’s committee members to assist with content for the website. Through our content process, the team suggested ideas for various content locations on the website, including headers, calls-to-action, and link buttons, to name a few. All content suggested was written with SMSHE’s mission and vision in mind.
