English Gardens is a family-owned, award-winning landscape company in Metro Detroit. Dedicated to beautifying homes, gardens, and holidays, English Gardens offers five retail garden centers and four full-service floral shops.
Our Challenge
English Gardens originally came to TM for maintenance on their old Magento 1 website. Eventually, they decided it was time to have TM rebuild their existing website on a more current ecommerce platform. English Gardens wanted to keep a lot of their previous site's functionality as well as add more features that would allow them to take full advantage of their ecommerce capabilities.
TM also needed to include customized pages and templates, in-store kiosk compatibility, and an intuitive events manager for their site. English Gardens wanted this new website to have not only a fresh look and feel but also a framework for future expansion that would allow the site to evolve with the company.

Our Solution
TM developed completely custom software based upon the Magento 2 platform. We took all the things English Gardens liked about their existing site and modernized it. TM added functionality and made the design more attractive to new and existing customers.
The result is a website that has the same software functionality as before but is mobile-friendly, easy-to-use, and modern. The new site uses more SEO-friendly code, making it easier for customers to find them online. The site is also optimized for English Gardens’ in-store kiosks and offers functionality that takes advantage of the kiosk touchscreens.
This website is designed to make life easier for English Gardens. TM custom-built a Daily Product Import module that allows English Gardens to update their products by simply uploading a CSV file. We also included smarter web forms on the website that automatically send Floral Appointment requests to the correct English Gardens location’s email.

TM revamped an outdated website on the current and powerful ecommerce platform, Magento 2! This allows English Gardens to display their full product line without selling every item through ecommerce. However, TM made it possible for English Gardens to expand their ecommerce store at any time.

No matter what device you use to access the new English Gardens website, rest assured, it will look and work great. This includes English Gardens' in-store kiosks, which display a custom view of the website that is optimized for the kiosk computer's touchscreen functionality.
